Millennium Minerals (ASX Code: "MOY") is an emerging gold producer focussed on the exploration and development of a large tenement portfolio in the East Pilbara region on Western Australia.  The high-quality portfolio includes gold resources of 1.25 million oz and as such the company is now preparing to develop the Nullagine Gold Project in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia.

We are now seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Mining Engineers to join the team reporting to the Manager of Mining, initially based in West Perth with a transition into a FIFO roster later in 2012.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

Develop production strategies
Develop and maintain fit for purpose planning systems
Develop short and medium mine plans
Assist in estimating mine plan costs and economic evaluations
Assess different operating scenarios
Generate production schedules for processing design
Implement best practice in safety to facilitate a safe working environment
Production reporting and reconciliations
Work closely with operational mining personnel and other departments
Act as alternate Quarry Manager

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will be degree qualified in Mining Engineering or similar with at least 5 years of port-graduate experience.  Experience in mina planning and scheduling for multiple open pit operations is essential combined with recent open pit gold mining experience.  The positon requires the successful candidate to be the holder of a WA Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency.

A sound working knowledge of mine modeling and pit design software is essential with a working knowledge of ore reserve optimization software being well regarded.
